As I have now booked my ferry and confirmed 100% that I am going I thought I would post this as a few people have asked me.
If anyone wishes for an animal to be collected from Hamm on the 15th March I may be able to help. I am a business and as such hold the required transportation license for commercial transportation, however - I'm not doing this to make a bundle of money, I don't have a huge amount of space, so if I can help you, please contact me sooner rather than later. My return route will be from Harwich to Cardiff, this is along the M25 north of London, and then along the entire of the M4 from around J4 i believe to J30. I can keep animals for several days in appropriate conditions if required in Cardiff, for you to arrange collection, and I welcome Reptile Taxi. If you can meet at a service station on that route in the morning (between 7am and noon depending on what part you wish to meet at!) then I will transport animals at a fee of £10 per animal. If it's something especially small, such as hatchling leopard geckos, I could probably fit in a few - IF they are collected from the same table. Most of that fee is going to be the time it's going to take me to wander around Hamm trying to find the correct person so please bear that in mind. I cannot carry large animals really, as we are only one car and I do only have a limited amount of space in a heated section so please let me know what it is. I would like a letter (well, email is fine!) from yourself confirming what you're purchasing and from who, with their stand number or location, and also a contact number if possible. If they don't speak english they should understand the name on the letter at least! You must have arranged the sale and if possible paid for it in advance. If the person does not turn up, or cannot be found, despite my best efforts, I cannot be held responsible - I don't have 5 hours to be looking for someone, but if I have your phone number I will endeavour to contact you and let you know. I can also text when I have the animals in hand to put your mind at ease. I will be transporting animals inside their respective small tubs, stacked inside larger polyboxes to keep them warm and secure. These are well ventilated. Heating will be provided with 24 hour heat packs and I will ensure that the animals are not subjected to a temperature lower than 65-70f even overnight. I do also provide each animally individual with a brief water source for them to drink on the journey although water is not left in with them due to obvious problems with spillage.
