Should be kept in groups. Meerkats are very social and would do it mental harm to have just one.

God I would seriously be tempted, Hubby seriously has a thing for Meerkats but would mean months of encloser building beforehand for us as he'd want a Meerkat manor! lol

I know what ya mean hun, also always wanted a trio or at very least a pair of these, but am too skint at the mo, plus i haven`t really got the room until i get moved later on.

We plan to make a room to house the Meerkats, and in the summer they have plenty of room to wonder around! But we only want two meerkats!
