Default 15 Gerbils needing new homes:

These Gerbils have just come into my rescue, and are looking for new homes. None of them have any health problems, all are bright eyed, active little things. They where handed to me by someone who's brother had inherited them. They have all been looked after by him, but they felt the gerbils deserved a home where they would get more personal care and attention.

There are several groups:

Group 1:
SEX: 3 Males
Colour: Agouti
Age: approx 6 -8 months.
Other: These lads are slightly skitty, but not overly, and are quite nosey. They have to go as a group of three.

Group 2:
Sex: 1 Male
Colour: Agouti
Other: Lovely little lad, a little skitty, same as others but inquisitive.

Group 3:
Sex: 3 Males
Colour: Agouti
Other: These guys are the youngest, around 12 weeks, and have just been separated from their sisters. Two of the males in this trio are deformed. One has no tail, one had the end missing. The one with no tail has no use of one of his front legs, as if it hasnt grown properly or has been injured previously and healed funny. He gets about fine on it though! The other one with the end of the tail missing has a back limb missing, but again gets around fine!

Group 4:
SEX: 2 male
Colour: Agouti
Other: Freindly, inquisitive, though slightly skitty until handled.

Group 5:
SEX: 2 Female
COlour: Agouti
Other: These are lovely girls, big and chunky, will calm with handling but are currently skitty.

Group 6:
SEX: 3 Female
Colour: 2 black, 1 Agouti.
Other: Again skitty yet very inquisitive.

Group 7:
SEX: 1 Female
Colour: Black
Other: This little girls is the only girl out of the youngest group, and sadly none of the other females will tolerate her. She will be taken as a lone female or to someone who has experience doing proper introductions between female gerbils. She is around 12 week old, skitty but a very cheeky character.

ALL THE FEMALE GROUPS will be ready from 18th of November, to give 4 weeks pregnancy check, as they have been in contact with males.

A Donation will be required if anyone is wishing to rehome one of the groups to ensure a good home, and homes will be vetted and updates will be needed. There is no set adoption fee, the donation will be decided by the new owner when we have chosen etc.
Please feel free to PM me or email: RuthLucas@hotmail.co.uk.
THankyou!

I did justreply to this, but it seems to have disappeared! (Unless it is my quirky laptop playing tricks! Anyway, thanks to Indy (((((THANKYOU INDY)))) I have found this post, and I most CERTAINLY would love to offer haven and sanctuary to group 3, the specially formed little group. And I do know how to provide a cage specially adapted for those with special needs. Please, where are you?
I will NOT use kitchen towel in the case of special needs creatures, i find it too abrasive. I will only use animal safe soft wadding and fleece (that i will relpenish and launder)
I realise you do not know me, but if you can find the time, you will pwerhaps see who I am here...
www.precious-wings.com

Cat 'knows' me in a way, i chat with her, and we are hopefully gping to meet very soon! And also I will then get to meet Ditta, who is on here somewhere, lol, but we havent had a gab yet. YET, lol!
All I can say is that to me, the so called 'imperfect' are the most perfect, most precious creatures that grace our earth.
Thankyou for reading,
Annie x

i think the 2 deformed will have a perfect home with her

and well done to you ruthy for taking it upon yourself to write a little summary of each of them, and to even take it upon yourself to find them new homes.

a lot of people would have horded them!

free bump and good luck to the little guys and gals!

Thankyou guys!
I am have recieved a PM from Annie, so its in discussion. Group three must go as a trio though, as i dont want to split them, but it seems that Annie is readily accepting that.
These guys really are sweet they just need some more handling, their deformities dont stop them from being perfect, you wouldnt tell unless you watched them closely!
