ferrets galore

looks like im going to cambridge 1st maybe 2nd week in july, to deliver ferts if anyone wants a fert down that way.

why not neuter them? arnt there enough ferrets in rescues that need a good home without you breeding more ferrets that will have more ferrets... yeah even if you make a 100% effort in ensuring the kits go to a good home they might end up with having a male and a female and then having their own kits who they will sell on to other people who might not no what they are doing and the vicious cycle will go on... ever thought about that???

i have hobs all my are done apart from the babys they will get done at 6 months and am getting two of shelly as well and they will be done at 6 months as well so just leave it alone she is finding good home for all

yeah thats you though, not everyone getting a ferret of her is gonna get them neutered and there are so many out there already that get a S**T start in life cos people buy them off breeders knowing nothing bout them let them have kits and sell them to other people who know nothing

hey mate all the people that have ferts off fisherking are vetted and if she dosent think they are suitable they wont get any, they are also told that if they have any problems to contact her anytime and if worst comes to worst she will take back any ferrets for any reason.
so get off your high horse and keep your nose out

But you are talking 2-3 (possible) generations and 2-3 different owners down the line. There are 3 rescued/rehomed ferrets with her now just that i know of, so im sure she is well aware of the problems. A breeder can only do so much, they cant control what idiots might end up with the great great grandkits (if thats a word) of one of their adults. The same applies for all animals...maybe China would be a good place for someone with your attitude.

...but on topic, ive seen most of these little 'uns and you couldnt ask for more from a breeder...i am actually amaized how much work she puts in to these. You'd be hard pushed to find better ferrets

I think Gem summed it up - every animal deserves good homes and great lives - no "breeder" can ensure this for any animal be it any of the possible 60 yemen babies they could have or 30 beardies, 8 pups, 7 kittens......people chose to take on a pet - should have researched and perhaps care sheets should be compulsory for all sales.

It is unfortunate when any animal is mistreated but you can not blame any one but the person taking on an animal.

i think robstaine should go on every thread and abuse all breeders of any offspring i'm sure he would win a lot of friends? Why were you scrolling thro the classifieds just to start an abusive post to spark an arguement?

As for Fisherking - when is my little girly gonna be ready? I gotta pop to shop 2moro for foods so have an update then?

i'm really surprised it took as long as it did to get negativity from this forum. I will NOT appologize for breeding my much beloved ferts. not today, not tommorrow, infact never !! i absolutely adore mustids, and make no appologies for it. i have strived for many years to breed solid, sound temprement ferts that are a joy to own. my ferts are pretty much bomb proof, accepting sound, sight, animal, shock stimulie, this doesn't happen on its own i handle, feed cuddle EVERYONE each hour day and night. I am not out to be a money grabber, infact you don't want to see my bank balance. ferrets are a joy they're entire lives, i just want to share that! if you don't understand that you don't know me, or my ferts and are never likely too. and to be honest wouldn't want you too. my ferts are for special people, cause they are special. so please if you have something negative to say keep it to yourself, i'm spreading unconditional fertie love not bias hate. kindest regards shelley and the ferts.
