Why not neuter him and train him not to bite? Then you won't have to break your heart.

Dogs that are not aggressive don't bite.
Neutering is an excellent plan ... I can not believe he has been bred from .... he will potentially pass on his poor temperament to puppies.

Have you contacted a trainer?

I find it strange that the OP doesn't think that a nip is a bite.
Nuetering would indeed help expecially if it is hormonal related aggression. a nip is a bite and any dog which bites is aggressive. No rescue centre would accept him and trying to sell him to anyone willing to pay the rather high price is like offloading a timebomb. It's a matetr of time before he 'nips' someone badly and causes injury and ends up being PTS.
It says plenty that she is getting rid because of it's aggression and isn't prepared to work on it to sort the problem out.

he is defintly not aggressive the only time he has bit has been when he has bones so he was banned from them and when he had a ear infection and my boy pulled his ear i brought him a yr ago under false protensis, they lied to me and said he was very good round children to which i dont think he can be trusted but then no one should leave any dog around a child no matter what breed and the previous owners are the ones that bred him and aprently he had 2 lots of babies they showed me the pic's and the female they kept and sold on the male of which i had yeh we have had some one to train him but only the defience which is sorted now but never on the aggression side as he is not aggressive

If he bites, guards and is defensive then he is AGGRESSIVE.

Why not contact bulldog rescue http://www.bulldogrescue.co.uk/home.htm they won't pay you for him but they have the experience to deal with his issues and place him in an appropriate permanant home which I am sure is your top priority

Good luck!

Hi is it just one bulldog you have? As i notice you replied to a thread in the classifieds about you having a stud. If you are thinking of offering this dog out to stud i think you are highly irresponsible. This dog has shown signs of aggression and has bitten before. There is not one good readon for you to breed off of him. These traits can be passed onto offspring. Please reconsider letting him impregnate a bitch. Breeding should be to improve on the breed, and this isn't the case.
If however you are referring to another dog then i do apologise.
Teach your dog to not be aggressive with bones / toys or anything else. A dog that will snap is a liablility. You need to nip it in the bud ASAP.
