White Male Cockatoo (Essex)

For sale is a 3 year old white male cockatoo called Charlie, he is dog tame, loves his cuddles and loves coming out to play. He says a few words such as "Hello Charlie" and "Charlie wanna S**t" he dosent poop out side of his cage! he was originally rescued by my friend and now is in perfect health and is looking for his forever home. He has a brand new cage which is included i the price. I will email pics on request he is for sale for £950 ono

Hi, do you know what type of "white" cockatoo he is?

The reason I ask is you could be breaking the law selling him if he is a certain species - a few of them are on the CITES lists & thus need the relevant certificates to be sold.

Perhaps if you post some pics people can help you ID the species.

Is he a particularly loud Too? My m8s ones are horrendous & almost burst your ear drums

OK, sorry it has taken me SO long to update this thread and answer your Qs. Firstly i was mistaken that Charlie is male, he's actually a SHE!!! oops i assumed because of the name, never mind. She's a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. She is on a diet of fruit, nuts and parrot mix, no history of plucking absolutley fine with people and other animals, she is silly tame, she loves to come out of her cage at any oppourtunity. here are some pics. She was privatley rescued by my friend and the price is very negotiable to the right home. no timewasters pls PM if seriously interested thanks all.

Hi Cat & Dean,
From the picture Charlie is actually an Umbrella Cockatoo not a sulphur crested. Does not require an article 10 to be legally sold.Easily sexed by the iris, in a bird over 2 years old a male's eye colour will be jet black and a female's will vary from orangey yellow to wine red.

yup I agree looks like an umbrella to me as well, nicer Birds in my opinion, still Bloody loud though !

Thanks Bryan for being so helpful! as i have said, the bird isnt mine and i know nothing about thier breeds ect, we are reptile people! thanks again!
