Default Puppy for sale or foster.

Due to my hip and knee problems, which are impeding my ability to give my puppy the exercise outside and the play inside that he needs, getting much worse over the last 2 weeks, I have boiled my options down to 2.

I can either sell him, which I really do not want to do. I love this puppy so much and have really bonded with him in the couple of months I have had him. I do not want to give him up permenantly.

My other option is to find someone to foster him for up to a year, until I have had my problems sorted. I honestly don't know who would be willing to do this however, and I don;t know if I could trust anyone to train him in the way I would want so he returns to me a well mannered dog (as he is being trained to be at the moment).

I'm not sure what to do, if anyone is willing to foster him them please do say.

Anyway, onto the pup.in question.

His name is Ludo, he is 16 weeks old and has been fully vaccinated and microchipped. He's a lab x and is very intelligent, obediant and willing to please. He knows sit, lay down, roll over, paw, high 5, stand up, crawl and spin (Though he does need to be coerced with treats sometimes ). He is also very good on lead and goes off lead without a problem and his recall so far is great. He is pretty much completely house trained and in the 2 months I have had him he has had one accident in the house. He is still getting used to being left on his own but we're getting there slowly. He settles down pretty quickly in the evening and is ok overnight. He is friendly with other dogs, cats, ferrets and small animals. He's been an absolute pleasure to own thusfar and so easy to train

If anyone would like to offer him a home, foster or otherwise I will be wanting to do a homecheck beforehand so you can meet him and so i am completely sure about you. If I do sell him, I will be asking some money for him, to cover what i have spent on him, his toys and his vaccs. If you agree to foster, we can sort out some sort of arrangement.

Please consider giving this puppy a home. He is an absolute star and will be a real pleasure to any owner. I am based in East Anglia. PM me for photos if you are seriously interested.

If you find someone to foster him, will you be paying for the food whilst he is with the foster carer? Also any vets bills that could arise? If you are looking for a foster vet them carefully. Meet them many times and visit their house. Ask all the questions you need to ask. Dont just hand him over to anyone. I hope you find a situation that suits you both. You obviously care about him and want the best which is great.
Good Luck.
Sam

Yep there are lots of people out there that run dog walking and pet sitting services.

Unfortunately I can;t afford someone to walk him twice a day, every day until I am better which could be anything up to a year. My other problem is that I can barely move indoors so cannot play with him indoors. My boyfriend is caring for me at the moment until I get my wheelchair back but i can;t expect him to walk and play with my boy because he still has to go to uni. I'm going to see how well I fare with wheelchair or crutches before making a final decision to sell him or not.

It might help if you say what area you are in?

Good luck with him.

You can bite my head off if you like - but didn't you think about this before you got the puppy?

It sounds like your health issues are a long term problem (if they have just come on then I apologise), but a puppy is hard work at the best of times, let alone when you are unwell.
