Default Wanted - Rex or Satin Male syrian Hamster (Oxford)

Hi

I am trying to find a breeder that sells Rex or Satin Syrian Hamsters. Not fussed on the colour but I am after a male short hair if possible. I live in Oxford.

Cheers

I have satin short haired but I'm too far away...Just looked there are no boys!!!
I've just mated a dove longhaired satin doe to my black banded short haired buck.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

I'd love a rex as well but I'm cutting back at the moment.

I've just put a satin LH blue mink to a SH sable roan. She's due in just under two weeks if the mating took and I'm only in high wycombe which isn't too far from you.
There will be minks/mink roans in satin and non, creams/cream roans satin and non, Red eyed cream/red eyed cream roans satin and non, sable/sable roans in satin and non and probably the odd cinnamon in satin or non.
statistically 50% of the litter will be long haired.

They sound gorgeous.

I've never heard of 'blue mink' do you have a pic??

Not that I can have any more. I'm cutting back with breeding syrians. I'm only keeping 12!!!!!!!
I will still breed but not nearly as much.

I'm really sorry to hear that.
Blue mink is a Dark grey mink (eeppU_dgdg). As youngsters they are... kind of purple. As the mature the return to the more standard caramel mink colour. My boy is now pushing two and so not a great example any more but I will try and dig out photos for you at some point. His dark grey is alot of generations back and he has been bred from a succession of blue minks rather than minks and dark greys.
He's got a dirty great LH mink female to play with at some point too.
