Lol. I too was looking for the photos of an african grey but only seeing a possibly wild caught Timneh grey. There appears to be a sexing ring on it's right leg of the kind wild caught birds got put on when they were sexed. In which case, it must be older than 5 years surely?
Given that untame Timnehs go for around £250-350 I wonder if the price also is a misprint?

Def looks like a sexiong ring but they can be put on hand reared birds as well if they are surgically sexed - as its on the right leg I would say there is a strong chance the timney grey is infact a boy More often than not its parent reared birds that end up getting sexing leg rings on though.

Saying that the wedding band style leg ring is also used in Europe...........so without knwoing what the riung numbers/letters are we wont know for sure.

I agree on the price though, untame Timnehs are no more that £350 & if it was that kind of price & female I would have a buyer very interested.

awwww ok well would he or she be better money if it was tame ?? he is about 4-5 years old we had him when he was a baby but he never got tamed it was in a right mess when we got him all his fethers ect was pulled out is was making really funny noises so when we got him or her back we just put it in a cage started to hand feed let it out cage

reason we never tryed taming it was because it would try bite my hand off wich aint very nice lol i been looking round on the internet on how to itroduce them slowy to siting on a stick and them after a while it would go on your hand but he dont like it when i swing a stick in front off him he makes a very bad noise

Yes s/he would go for more money if s/he was tame, definitely. If you wanted to be sure before selling type "DNA bird sexing" in google and make sure you select UK only results - and there are places you can send the feathers off to to be DNA tesed for a fee.

Bit confused about that because a Timneh is still an African Grey? The seller didn't state that it was a Congo anywhere.

I would definitely agree that the asking price is way too much though! An untame Timneh you are looking at the price bracket already mentioned, plus perhaps a little more to take into account the cage. Although be prepared to lower the price even more as most people want hand reared, tame birds.
