I think you mean a mynah bird?

Hopefully you have thoroughly researched their dietary and care requirements before considering taking one on, they are not the easiest of birds to care for..

I doubt they have been, since the OP called them "minor birds"

Ummm... my comment wasnt snotty. Just telling you the correct name which will help with your wanted ads! The fact that you spelt the name of the species wrong is, as amalthea said, an indication that you have not done your research as i would think that would be the first thing you'd learn.

And as you are looking for a mynah OR african grey i was pointing out that a mynah has very, very different requirements. Mynahs are softbills so normal seed foods are not suitable and can cause serious medical problems and eventually death. I own a non-seed eater myself so i am just trying to help, the diet required is very specialist, complicated and expensive. They also require VERY large cages, much larger than a parrot of comparitive size and need an experienced owner as they can be difficult birds to own, but make great pets with the right handling and training.

Unfortunately, many adverts looking for parrots are from people who have not researched the care of them at all. Having worked in rescue for many years i have seen birds of all shapes and sizes coming in, including softbills who tend to come in with major problems from poor diet.

I wish you luck finding your new bird.
