I would rather take my chances with the snakes!!!I spend alot of time in S.A as my girlfriend is South African, u hav no idea wat people are cabable of till u come here!!!! My girlfriend was hijacked at gun point!! She was lucky to get away with just being chucked out of the moving car!!! Others I know hav been hijacked and raped for days before being found dead in a bush some where... How the 2010 is going ahead, I dont know!!!but as advice if u come here never walk alone!!!!Always ask before u decide to go any where... We are hopefully getting out as soon as my girlfriend gets her visa...Wat a beatiful, scenic country, up there with the prettest in the world, but crime has wrecked it all..Zimbabwe had afew farmers murdered, we hav had afew thousand farmers murdered!!! If you are a white tourist u are finished, the other day an american was left shot in the middle of the day in full streets, and robbed for a camera. there were more people there than walking through london at a busy time!!! My mum was attacked at a grocery store in the parking lot!!! An elderly lady!!! there is no values or morals with these people!!!I dont think any south african will disagree with me!!! Thats Why there is so many in London!!!Anyway just thought i wud get that off my chest, hopefully some gd warning advice for any1 coming to sa for 2010 world cup!!!

Talk about picking out the bad points... news for you mate, there is crime every where and if people ran away from everywhere there was crime we would all live in Switzerland

I think SA might be a bit worse though! Any country where they legalise flame throwers on cars, you know they've got problems!

Yeah SA is hell of a bad, much worse crime there than alot of countries the tourist board has advised people not to holiday there, because its so dangerous.

I know there is crime every where!!!! I have lived in Oz, uk, U.s and SA,,,When u are afraid to walk down the road during the day to buy a carton of milk, and live in a complex with two layers of eletric fence security guards patroling the fences with dogs, and automatic guns, u mite be James Bond, but I know I'm not!!! This is real, and bullets, screw drivers, and pangas kill!!! U mite think I'm a coward for leaving, fortunitly for me its my choice!!! SA is no place to bring up kids., and I'm getting to the age where I have to settle,. I cant get angry cause I know all my mates in Cambridge wud neva believe a 100th of the stories i cud tell!! When its ur little girl that has been raped and killed, because some witch doctor said this is the cure to aids, u tell me how u feel...its ludicrous, anyway i was merely pointing out a warning to be carefull, this is a dangerous place for tourists!!
