Default Gaboon vipers

My partner would like us to have a dwa licence and is very interested in pit vipers ect...
Just wondering how easy it would be to obtain a gaboon viper?

He knows his dwa's,he's south african and that's where he is at the moment. He has kept venomous snakes out there before. i'm afraid my knowledge is limited....but willing to learn more.
Maybe someone could give me a few good beginer species?

As SiUK sad they arent that hard to find so long as you have all the right paperwork in place.

As for not being a great first venomous, that sort of depends on the person. I feel that if people are persuaded into buying a snake they dont even like just because its easier to manage then they become quickly disinterested in it and a mistake could easily happen.

So long as you have quite a bit of previous experience with handling such animals (by training at a shop/other keepers house that keep gabboons or similar) then i feel youd be just as safe with a gabboon as you would a copperhead.
