Default Local Council changes its rules

My Local council have changed the DWAL slightly...

Every time I need to add a snake or make a change they are charging me £12 to issue a new DWAL
seems fair to me......anyone else get charged for changes?

Hi all,
I added one male Panamint Rattlesnake to my licence that I bought at Houten and my council just put it on and it cost me nothing.
All the best,
Brian.

You will be charged different amounts from different areas as each council has a free hand on what each one charges.
Some use this to discourage people from keeping DWA in their area
( Which results in some keepers going undrground, I suspect)
I no longer keep DWA following a bad reaction to a bite from a small hognosed snakes of all things

I should have made my statement a little clearer....

I can add anything onto the licence just by calling them, no charge, however if I want a paper copy they charge me an admin fee for the time it takes to print, sign and post it to me!

Hi,
I see, when I phoned my council, he said to add it to my list and he would add it to his, but he would not send me a new list at the moment as it was too close to my renewal time, I will let you know if it would have cost me if he actually sent me a new list.
All the best,
Brian.

Slightly off topic but I've been wondering, when you get a DWAL, does the license then cover any animals included in the act, or is it more specific? for example, does the same license allow you to keep snakes and wolves? not that I have any desire to keep wolves, but I'm curious as to how one license would allow you to keep such vastly different animals?

Oh ok, that makes sense. Does that mean specific species, or would 'snakes' fall into one category? Or could you just have a license for Gilas?
