You need to be 18 first, and it will be best if you own your house, as opposed to renting one. The council might have guidelines for you to follow, also speak to a vet, a vet will visit your house to inspect it with a council member. I'm sure someone else will be along soon. You need the encloseure ready for the inspection. (I think)

its actually illegal for any council to flat out refuse to issue a DWA, even harder for them to put people off when the new law goes through.
All councils seem to be pretty different, I have rang a few different councils recently as im wanting to move my animals to a different area, my current DWA cost £90 and its through the licensing department, they issue the licenses for all things from taxis to zoos, the lady that I speak to specifically deals with any animal licensing (obviously), but where im hoping to move to its through the public protection department, its a tad more expensive but still only £130. |
