Just an idle wondering....

I was just wondering what all you DWA guys do if you have a sick animal... how many vets will treat DWA species? Particularly the venomous snakes? And how many surgeries even with an exotics vet in residence have the facilities to handle, treat and possibly temporarily house these animals?

I'm not at all interested in ever owning DWAs or anything just for the record, was just idly browsing here and it was just a question that occurred to me.

I would say most of us have been around the hobby for some time...myself 30 years...and we can usually self diagnose and medicate. There are now a few Labs that you can send blood work or fecies samples too and they will send you the results. But if you need to go to the Vet they are usually zoo vets and you will have to go out of hours and a visit can cost 60 quid plus just to look. im luck as my vet is about 40 minutes drive away but some of the guys can have 200 mile round trip. But you will have to do all the restraining and handling for the vet to do his job
