hello every one im looking for some cheap snake hides for my tank as i have 2 natrix maura and they are quite shy atm. many thanks tabby

the sizes of the tank are L 61cm, W 30cm and H 38CM so maybe a couple would be good. also do you know any one in the locality that sells cheap lids for tanks as i have one thats L 50CM and W 26CM wit no lid so its use less for the time being lol. thanks

what sort of size is your snake mate,,as there about 4 different size hides,also is it a fauntarium,,type tank

i go to pound land and buy there plastic colored boxes they have all sizes

the tank that i would like the hides for has a lid that comes off and it also has a flap to put the fresh water and food in but the one i need a lid for has no lips or sills its just an open tank.i think the hides need to be around the size of a xmas pudding dish.

I like the plastic saucers that Wilko/B&Q do for plant pots - use a pair of scissors to cut a little door in one side and a scrap of sandpaper to smooth it down before putting 'em into the vivs. Because they're flat, they make for good close hides and my snakes particularly seem to like them.
