**Pulse Stat Info?**

Hi all, Could anybody tell me what is the best type of thermostat to run a polybox incubator? I have got a matstat, running a heat mat but cant keep the temperature from going up and down by 2 degrees either side. I have been told that a pulse stat would keep the temperature steady, but does it have a minimum wattage? And would this work ok? Any Info would be greatfully accepted. Thanks Wayne.

pulse stat(habistat) does not have a minimum wattage, but a dimmer stat is more accurate but needs a minimum wattage of 40w hope this helps

A pulse stats will maintain an accurate temperature. The manufacturers information will tell you whether it has a minimum wattage. Tell the petshop what you want it for before you buy, and if it doesn't do the job you will be entitled to a refund (whether the pet shop will GIVE you a refund is a different matter, but you will be entitled to it).

Pulse stats all the way for poly box incubators.... I wouldn't bother with any other type.
