I use industrial grade superglue with accelerator - sets solid in 5-10 seconds - with fingers attached if you use too much.

Aquarium silicone is also good and also ideal for sealing internal viv edges - only use a very thin bead, too much and it squidges out, some have used no nails type glues.

Do you rough up the runner first?
I have used industrial waterproof superglue with accelerator and found it not to be very reliable.

Dont rough runners up at all, there are three main types of superglue - thin medium and thick, medium is fine if sticking on smooth surface such as melamine edging but thick is better if sticking to cut edged chipboard.

Did use mitremate ages ago but the spray accelerator goes every where so lots of waste, have been using a felt pen type accelerator which lasts 3 x tin of spray.

I have used all types of superglue from the thin to very thick and even the black waterproof but not found any that can be trusted.
I have also used the primer and the accellerant.
