Personally I would go for a temp gun with a field of view ratio of more than 1:1. The range is far to wide to get a good spot reading. Example: if you are taking a measurement at 1 meter from the spot you are pointing at, you are actually getting a reading of 1 meter square. So litterally for an accuarate reading, you'll have to point a few cm from the spot you want a reading from. In some cases if you don't want to open the viv door much to get an accurate reading, a 1:1 ratio gun isn't adequate.
I got one with a 1:6 distance ratio from ebay, it's about the same price and will post a link if I can find it. Cheers Tung
