If its Polypropylene (look for a recyleable logo on the plastic, if it has a 5 in the middle with PP at the bottom then its Polypropylene) then you can get nice vents with a soldering iron, you can then pick off the extruded plastic that form around the holes and you have nice clean holes, drilling it can break it if the drill bit is too sharp.
