Default Building huge CWD viv - please help!

I have a small male CWD and he is going to need a bigger viv soon.
I have him in a 4x2x2 at the moment and want to build a bigger one rather than buy one off someone.
I had an idea that i could get a viv exactly the same dimensions (maybe 3ft tall) and combine the two.
I'd do this by taking the top off one and the bottom off another and then fixing them both together. This would give a combined height of 4 maybe 5ft (if i get a 3ft tall one)
Is this even possible? Is this recommended? Would it be suitable?
Give me your thoughts and advice please!!

Whatever you want me to be.

How many RFUKer's does it take to answer a question?

1 to answer it, the rest of them to mock you, call you stupid, prove they're better than you and generally take the piss.

hi!
i dun this myself!

i had 2 4x2x2ft vivs, took top n bottoms off, sat em on each other, and put a wooden suport beam with screws in along each end, just to steady it.

i then took the spare lid and base, cut em in half, and made a "table" effect edge to it. like a stand. i then cut another hole in the bottom of the viv, and dropped a plastic pond in there.

i then fixed it all down, and sealed it all off

see?

and yes, my dragons used to live in it. it is now for sale.

also we had an idea....

add an external fish pump, suck dirty water out into the filter, (hidden away under viv with pond), and buy a plastic rock effect waterfall, place it down left back corner of viv, and have clean filtered water back to top of viv, down via waterfall. add fish.

it currently has a small pump in it, but its not strong enough. fish have been kept in there too.

Thats exactly what i was thinking of!
It looks pretty nice aswell, i wasnt sure whether it would.
what size 'pond' do you use?
Also, do you reckon a viv of that size would be suitable for a male and a female at some point?
Cheers!

Hmmm, you are relatively close compared to most people on the forum lol
How much you looking for it?
I plan on having only 2 in there, my boy needs company lol
Does having a 'companion' stop them from wanting to come out as much?
Cos mine loves wandering round my room finding escapee crickets but im starting to worry he might get snout rub from trying to get out so often.....lol

Haha i like the idea of them 'bouncing' off, certainly less painful than kamikaze diving a pane of toughened glass......

if you have two in there the second will have to be female and just having a male and female together all the time will result in the female getting humped senseless and regularly pregnant. You're best keeping:
  1. single male
  2. 1+ female
  3. male & 2+ females

Yer makes sense really, would a 5ft tall, 4ft wide, 2ft deep viv be ok for 3? (1 male, 2 females)

thats what i had.
the viv i built em is 4x5x2, and they done brilliant in there.
i also had 1 male, and 2 females.
i found regular pregnancies wasnt an issue.
the male got board of the girls after a while, and in order to get him interested again, i simly took him out and put him in a separate viv for a week or 2.
