Well it doesn't say it comes with a starter so technically yes? You'd have pretty silly postage and i'm sure you'd get collared for some kind of import duty too so it might not work out cheaper.

chances are it'll be 110v so if there's no voltage changer it'll give off a lot of light, then possibly a bit of fire.

I'm not too worried about that because i can get a stepdown transformer for £5

Its a hood only, no light just switch, postage will be about £10-£20 though, if it works out to be over around £35 you could end up paying import duty and vat tho you may get away with it.

just remember that 240v to 110v transformers are bloody noisy .. and they give of shed loads of heat.

Customs duty is payable on orders of £18 or more excluding shipping costs and at the exchange rates posted on the HMRC website not the exchange rates that were applied to your payment at the time of purchase. US$27 is around £17 so no duty should be payable but it will be 110v so not worth the hassle IMHO.
