id go with a non toxic one tbh mate, its alot lot better to be safe than sorry imo.

if your unsure of whether or not yours in toxic or not, take it back to b and q and ask them, they should be able to tell you.

B and Q aint a half bad store usually i find for advice and help.

Spuddy.

Most sealants contain horrible stuff and I think the anti mould ones even contain cyanide to some extent. Warmth and moisture could release these chemicals in to the air or sweat them out, if you've already used it I would highly advise removing it as best as you can and going with some proper aquarium sealant.

all my vivs are sealed with bog standard bnq sealant.
bloke i no uses it for work as a plumber, and says the only thing bad in sealant is the fumes it gives off whet wet/fresh.
this smell is caused by an anti-fungal agent in the silicone, and it stinks.
however within 12-24 hours (of open door airing), the silicon sets and drys and the smell totally disapiers.
it is now totally harmless!
just from putting the silicon on, leave it all 24 hours before adding your reps

(i also cleared this with my local rep vet, when making my vivs, and its fine)

INCORRECT!!, many silicones contain fungasides especially bathroom/kitchen types to prevent mould growth which is within the sealant and present ALL the time, the smell is NOT the ant-fungal agent. The fungasides can be harfull to your reps so be very careful
