Pulse stat on heat matt?

It would only be short term till my ceramic guard gets here in the post but I may be setting a makeshift RUB home for a baby boa Im getting earlier than expected.

Can anyone give me the OK on this

Others may correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the pulse stat has a base power of 40Watts. Lower than that and it won't. I would imagine your mat is only about 12W or something.

In fact - I will correct myself. Dimming stats have a minimum load of 40 watts.

This webpage has loads of useful info.

So I think it should work for the short-term yeah.

pulse stats are fine for heat mats - hold them nice and steady !

i was running a single 3' heat strip (22w) from a 600w habistat pulse, and had no probs with it...
imo, habistat pulses are better than the rest, because they're easier to "fine tune"...
