Check out the megaray website www.megaray.co.uk they have been developing their bulbs for years, they have had many research studies done on them, they are far superior to powersun and I've heard that the powersun degrades far quicker.

Good luck with your mission

if you want information on the Megaray bulbs then get in touch with Darren at Kimbos Reptile World. hes the UK distributor, extremely knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. whatever questions you have he will almost certainly have an answer and a solution. ive had a couple of long chats with him about the Megaray bulbs for a specific application and couldnt have asked for more information.

you have to be careful of pet shop advice sometimes. they sell specific ranges of products, in this case they are probably a Zoo Med retailer, and not a Megaray one. so they arent going to recommend a product that they dont sell, so whatever they sell is almost always going to be the best available, by their advice. you have to find independant research/experience and judge from that. the Megaray products have gone under a great deal of scrutiny from several sources, including zoo testing, etc. there are a couple of excellent articles on their bulbs on the UV Guide website, and there is almost nothing bad to be said about them.

Thanks for the support on the mega ray !

Without doubt we are producing the best reptile lighting on the market today, we are the only producers in the world that can say we have been having the bulbs made in the same factory, in the same way since it was first developed.

The bulb is hand made and production line tested - all of the top breeders and zoos in the world are using them...

Any questions drop me an e-mail darren@megaray.co.uk
