my spot bulb blew today and i sent me OH out to get another, but the stupid idiot came back with a 150w cermic bulb

the thing is, i dont know alot about the cermic bulbs, i know they only emit heat no light. can they be used for the "day" cycle? ive got 2 25w "daylight" bulbs aswell to mimmic sunlight so would it be ok to use until i can find some proper spot bulbs??

Default hi amy

i've heard of people using the ceramic during the day as long as uv is on it should'nt be an issue but to be honest we use a uv/heat bulb in all our tanks...even for the turtles . they come it at around 45/55 pounds but save alot of hassle with wires and strip lighting. i would say only use the ceramic heater as a last option but i'm sure others will disagree. hope thats helped
