Default Buying rocks for vivs?

Obviously some stone I could take from the garden, but does anyone know online sites which sell rocks?

There's quarries but often their minimum order is 500kg or 1ton..which is a bit more then I need..

Also not sure what a good price per 1kg is, for holestone, slate etc?

nah the sites I've seen generally have flat rate up to 30kg or flat rate up to 70kg. DHL flat rate is £5.99 to 30kg and I doubt I'd order more then that.

It's just aquarium sites generally have holestone, sandstone, granite etc at around £1.50-£3.00(depends on what stone) per kg, I'm not sure if this is good or not.

Just go to B&Q, Homebase or Wickes and get some rocks from there. They are usually outside by the landscaping stuff. That way you can pick the type, size and shape you want rather than putting up with whatever is sent to you.

any gardening centre will do stone. Get granite rather than sandstone. I got some brilliant pieces from snowdonia a few years ago.
