Hey wadey

I take the back of my vivs lay the background on it then cut the background with sharp knife using the back of the viv as a guide therefore gettin the perfect shape background; then re-attach the back of the viv. no sticking required, background wont keep falling off will only come of when you want it to, no need mto wait for sealer to dry, cut to perfect shape with no gaps. and lays perfectly flat on back

Hope this helps

I tried the staples but they wouldnt go through the board properly, hard to explain. What is the deal with silicone? I have heard mixed oppinions about its use. Would it be suitable for this?

Hey wadey

2 of mine are Hardboard one is melamine, either way when you nail / screw the backbaod back on this is what hold the background in place.

You can use silicone but you must take out our lizzard and leave it to properly dry and de-fume before you return you lizzard back to the viv, dry & de-fume time differs but normally its around the 48hrs mark
