350 Watt Microclimate AHS Won't Heat To 30°C
I just installed a 350 watt Microclimate AHS in a 40" X 18" X 18" wooden terrarium, and I can only get it to heat to 27.2°C. I need to provide my cornsnake with 30°C... I am aware that the AHS cuts out when a certain housing temperature is reached, but the AHS has not proven to be very user friendly thus far! Also, I read that the housing heats to a maximum of 140°F before it is shut off by the AHS's electronics. On mine, you could literally fry an egg.
Any suggestions? In hindsight, I should have purchased an overhead heating panel, and hooked it up to a Microclimate thermostat...
Thanks!
