Wow that looks excellent.

did you stick the tiles to the floor and were they grouted. I'm building a viv and planning to use slate tiles too.

Was also thinking of applying a thin layer of varnish as slate seems porous ? Would make it easier to clean, any thoughts on this anyone ?

Some people use varnish, others dont. I know people use yacht varnish but I think thats just on the wood to make is water proof.
Hopefully someone else will reply, I want to know if it was grouted too!
And if so was it just norma grout that we use for bathroom etc? Is it not toxic?

we just cut them to size, because our viv's up stairs and we live in rented hse, which we dont stay in one place to long so i was thinking about the weight when moving, but they are a tight fit tho, wont hurt ozzy in ant way...looks good tho...
