Default What do you do with Heat Cable?

I know it provides heat, but how can I use it? Can I use it underneath substrate to warm the bottom of my viv and when it rains (super rain) it should hopefully evaporate the water making it humid?

Do I have to run a stat with these? Has anybody done an installation with these cables, any pics would be great?

Thank you

Thanks

I want to put it under the substrate to dry it out from when it rains to increase humidity in my arboreal viv. I was thinking of 50watt, but not sure.

I would definitely have it on a stat same as any heat source, because its a thin strip of concentrated heat I wouldn't leave it inside the actual viv.

what you could do is make a fake bottom floor inside the viv and lay it inbetween the real and fake floor

It won't be any good outside of the viv, it would just make my room warmer. What did you mean?

I was going to put it under some reptile carpet for saftey and then the substrate on top. What wattage do you think I should use for a 3x1.5 ft floor space?
