Nedd to buy some glass???

Need to buy some glass for my new iguana viv build, needed a couple massive peices of glass! Glass shops were generally expensive, £250ish but when talking about it to a mate he suggested going on ebay, find a double glazed window about the right size for one door and then taking it to a glass shop to split the two panes of glass and trimming to size!

I needed two glass doors, 7ft by 2ft, found a double glazed unit on ebay 10 miles away at the right size! unfortunately i missed the end of auction but it went for 99p and the glass shop would have charged £20 to split and trim to the right size!

Thought i'd mention this as people always seem to ask where to get the cheapest glass!

thats a nive big viv! and alot of glass lol yh i would sugest looking for second had doors/window or even try using perspex... i know b+q do quite big sheets near me, think they are about 6ftx4ft for about £35, might be a cheaper option if you can find some the right size! hope this helps

i was driving past a glaziers and they had a skip outside,when i looked closer there where 5 secondary panels about 4x2 metal edged,got rhe lot for 10 quid ,used 3 for my ig got 2 sitting spare so anyone intrested let me know

lol, bet that money went straight in somebody's pocket. Charging a tenner for something in the skip.
