Habistat getting really quite hot?

Has anybody experienced this? Lately I've noticed one of my on/off habistat thermostats gets really hot in the top corner of the unit, to the point where there are actually scorch marks on the thermostat (as in, on the white box).

Obviously this isn't normal, despite the fact the stat still works perfectly fine (or it would, if I hadn't swapped it for a spare upon noticing the scorch mark).

Just wondering if anybody knows why this has happened, if its a fault habistat are aware of, and if theres anything I can do to salvage the stat or get a replacement?

The on/off Habistats do get hot but i have never known any scorching of the case, stick a picture up please to show this scorching.

send it back to them there fix think you got a 5 year warranty on them

I had an older one where the case started to discolour and it was getting quite hot, it died soon after I noticed but they repaired it for me.

I've had quite a few mat stats go like that and one casing crack.
Stopped using them changed them for pulse stats . Don't think
i would use the mat stats again .
