Default 13 ined Ground Squirrels

Hi,

Does anyone keep 13 Lined Ground Squirrels who would be willing to share how they look after them. We have a pair and have found it difficult to find much about captive care.
Any info would be really appreciated to help us provide the best enviroment and care we can. We do think we are doing a decent job ( but then we would ) but obviously the more you can learn from other people the better.

As mentioned all info would be welcomed but especially how you hibernate them would be of great value. We placed our Squirrels into the conservatory at the end of September so that they could acclimatise to the colder conditions over a perid of time. Food intake initially went up and nest building went into overdrive. They are still quite active and still feeding well.

Thanks in advance.

Best Wishes

I dont have any no...i am intrested in some though...well tbh i am not intrested in the 13 lined pecifically but just an exotic mammal, have thought about sugar gliders.

Do you know how much they go for?

Thanks

Also if you go on this site Welcome to the Simons Rodents website and look in care sheets there is a caresheet, although it is VERY brief.

Thanks

Been on there before and as you say its brief.

I bought my sexed pair of 13 Lines for £200, don't know if that is good or bad.
If you wanted to know price of Suger Gliders, I got mine for £150 for the pair although that is about half of what you would expect to pay.

Best Wishes
