but yes, Quanah comes to his name, as does Pro, and sometimes snuff too..


water bottles, yes some of mine drink from them and some don't.. some of them almost never drink at all, and some drink more often..

quanah likes stealing ribena when he can.. and orange juice!!!

with goli, give her time to get used to the new food... of his skunks, some have taken to their new diets instantly and some have taken longer to get into it

most of mine will come when called.. whistled at and so on.. but both quanah and pro seem to actually react to the sound of their name... quanah will look up when he hears his name mentioned in conversation, not all the time, but a lot of it, he is not always being called at the time, and does not always come over when he hears it, but he does seem to react to the sound of it when you say it.

I must admit I have never seen Nizhi drink any water at all.......my theory on it being so was due to the amount of fruit/veggies they eat containing large amounts of water & thus possibly sufficient to keep them hydrated.

I mean, if they were getting dehydrated, surely they would automatically search out water?

As for coming to their names - too soon for Goli as shes not been here a week yet & Nizhi does kind of look up when I call her......the only problem is when I call either of them, the dogs come running to me

However he does drink quite often, he's got his water in a cat bowl.

Emma, it sounds like our skunks have similar traits for sure

try offering a bowl with a tiny splash of ribena in.. see what they do with that..

quanah will not drink plain water, but will take a few laps of a bowl with very very diluted ribena..

tbh ken, as you say, they get most of their fluids from the fruit and veg..
