Default Any one keep chinchillas then?

Well i know they are not quite as scarce as they used to be - but how many people here keep chinchillas then? anyone actually breed or show them other than myself?

i used to keep them, we had a rescue for the rspca. my last 1 basil died a few yrs back.... he was great.

aww thats a shame.

My oldest ones now are 12/13 now
we run a rescue centre for them as well as breeding so if you ever fell like taking on another feel free to get in touch -we always got some needing homes who have been down on there luck

i brought my first one a few weeks ago, was £80 with cage and accessories, turns out hes an afro violet. just went a brought him a load of cage stuff today actually.

Yep me Dave. Nice to see you on here Diane uses this forum too. I am usually found in the snake bit but nip on here now and again.

I have missed seeing the people at the shows but not the getting up early /preparation/ hassle bit. I am going to 8th March and the National though so see you there? I still have sapphires but do they breed.....NO!

Does anyone have one that's easy to handle and enjoys it??? I've never met one that is calm and I think we have around 13 in college, all normals and a couple that I assume are albino. Cute cute little things...

mine seems ok with it, as long as your not standing near something more interesting to climb on. he does really like to curl up on your lap though.
