Has any one else noticed skunk scent on there clothes after handling them - and the difference on different types of cloth?
I ask as the first couple of times i wsa handling skunks i had a woollen jumper on - and the musky natural scent they had lingered on it for a couple of days (though very mild). However today on a T shirt made of cotton it hasnt left any residue at all - which makes me wonder if there is an oil in skunks fur that is similiar to the lanolin of wool which makes it soak it up when they are held. anyone else come across it? NOTE: i mean the skunks natural musky sweet natural scent - not spray or scent glands - thankfully i havent had to smell that <G>
