Question APH food chart?

theres been so much hype about these little guys lately.i find the beardie food chart useful with what they cant have and what they can, and how often. i was wondering if there was a detailed page like that for APHs and if so could we make it a sticky?

I dont think there any particular care sheets with specifics on its just what you research and are advised by the breeder via their care pack but as a rough guide:

ok:
Insects - mealies can be fattening however
cat biscuits - max 10% fats min 30% protein
cooked chicken
Cooked lamb/beef mince
scrambled egg
lots of people feed small amounts of veg - mashed potato/sweetcorn/peas/carrots/broccolli - introuce things vey slowly into in case hedgie gets the squits lol

ok in small amounts/treat:
wet cat food
low fat cottage cheese

Not ok:
fish/fish based cat food
nuts - choking hazzard
seeds
milk - lactose intolerant
chocolate
grapes - cause renal failure
no food (say veg) whereby added salt or sugar have been used
fatty salty meats
onion and avocado are renown to be toxic in small animals and therefore best avoided

Vitamins and supplements:
small animal drops (added to water) from p@h or a pinch of powdered supplements (once a week)

hope that helps and maybe some-one can add anything I have missed out

I would be wary of using vitamin drops to ANY animal. They make the water taste funny, the vitamin is destroyed withing an hour or two and they make the water breed bacteria easier.

true - but it works for some people - I' just trying to give a wide overall of what different people use and then you choose what works best for you - personally I dont use supplements added to the water - I put a pinch of nutrobal in their 'treat' once a week - I dont think theres a lot of evidence out there to suggest they need it or not or if there is I'm not aware of it when I did my searching but I do it as a precautionary thing and a few of the breeders/long term hoggie owners have said that this is what they do to without any ill effects and as a preventitive measure
