Default New hog rescue....

Hi Guys...

Have just had a phone call from a lovely lady who has picked up teeny weeney baby hog from her garden over the weekend...

Apparently he's only about the size of a computer mouse...

Not sure I'll be able to do much good, but sure as hell am going to give it a go...

Driving over to pick it up this evening....

It sounds like the 3 babies I recently took in. They weighed 3oz. They refused to take any Esbilac milk replacer but tucked into Kit e Kat chicken in jelly. They are doing extremely well, now eating dried food and are going back to the Sanctuary tomorrow to overwinter
Fingers crossed yours does as well

I'm sad... he died...

He was so tiny and very wobbly when I collected him last night....

But I did my best and at least he died warm and loved.....

aww poor bubba, when they've been out for a few days before anyone does anything, its always extremely hard to treat successfully

like you say he was warm and loved, i hope you feel better soon.

Im sorry to hear this. We have lost 5 hogs in 3 days and most of them have been watched by people for a while before contacting us.
Did you know that 75% of rescued hogs die?
