Default Skunks fighting

Has anyone got any experience of skunks fighting? Our 2 females had a big fight today, lots of screaming and hissing, Hershey on top of Oreo biting at her. There doesn't seem to be any damage but we're a bit shocked and don't really know what caused it. We'll hopefully get them back in together later, but if they do it again one lucky lady gets to spend the night in the bedroom with us!!

Thanks!

havoc stomps and screams at kaimi but he just ignores him and walks off in his own little world

though siku has to stay in my bedroom as he screams like a bandshe and runs round like a maniac when the other skunks even look at him lol

so he is king of my bedroom

never had any fighting though when they wrestle they make alot of noise

Maybe it was wrestling. I think they want more food, what with it getting chillier now, so maybe it was over that.

its a possibility as thats when havoc screams the most at kaimi when there is food down even though they have a bowl each they always play swapsies and havoc is always the one that will scream when the others get in his way

Its "bulk up time" for skunks now so feed times can get a bit "interesting" if you feed them together I would recommend 2 bowls as they are trying to get their fat stores up ready for the winter den down and will barge (or in your case wrestle/bite) each other to get to the food bowl. If you are feeding from two bowls then feed in different rooms to prevent this.

Ours just barge each other at food time, Herbie is the worst he will barge George when he sees us near the door thinking food is on its way (btw Herbie is half the size of George so its very funny)

The thing is, it was nowhere near dinner time! We scatter their food around so they can both have some without arguing over it. They just started making this horrible screaming and when we went to see what on earth they were doing, Hershey was sitting on top of Oreo biting her.

There doesn't seem to be any damage, although Oreo ended up with quite a lot of Dan's blood on her where she bit him when he picked her up!! Then she crawled onto his shoulder and bit his face. Stroppy!!

they also can get stropy with each other when one dosnt want to play but the other does and usually one goes off sulking

Thanks for your help. Do they make a lot of noise and fuss while they're doing it?

We're just a bit worried, probably about nothing!! They've lived happily for the last 12 months, so goodness knows why they've suddenly decided to be different!

when they have had enough they go off an sulk or come for cuddles and suck up lol

i have never had any nasty bites with mine they all play and make alot of bloomin noise with it lol

i do watch them though and keep an eye
