Default Ferrets and swine flu -

It has been reported that ferrets can catch the current strain of swine flu. I dont know if this is fact and dont mean to scare anyone but fore warned is fore armed!!!

They've been able to catch most of the strain we've had in the UK, rule of thumb with Influenza and ferrets - if you can catch it so can your ferrets!

Yes they can, took ours to the vet and he said that they could have it!

Had swine flu during the last wave, and was very careful with my ferret as indeed, I read the same thing...

I knew about Flu, but never even occured to me to think about Swine Flu! Thanks for the heads up!

I heard about this.

I had swine flu a couple of months back and i didn't go near my ferrets, my bf cleaned/fed them for me

Not just swine Flu either. Take great care if you have Tonsillitus!
