Talking My new sugar "plop" gilder

well he's supposed to be a SUGAR GLIDER but he doesn't quite get the glide part of his name, he climbs up things okay and goes to spread his "wings" then leaps and PLOPS lol

I've called him Plop, he's spent more time on the floor than anything else, this is him exploring my hotel room at 1am this morning!!

Is this a new guy to go with others you already have? or your first?

I dont want to be a suggie bore,
But if other owners see this, they will tell you what im gonna say.
You need two, or they develope behavourial problems and can become self destructive. And harm them selves.

odd how no one bothers to ask questions before making assumptions, and funny enough I picked up my "second" glider this very morning

I was asked to take Plop is as a "rescue" and he wasn't in the best hands when I got him, being kept in a rabbit cage and being fed a rather unsuitable diet. I spent the months leading up to his arrival researching everything about gliders so I now know an awful lot.

Unfortunately I'd spent my last £100 on an aviary (big enough) so couldn't afford to just go out and BUY another glider, but I have one now and Plop's only been here a week so not bad going really.

You shouldn't all assume we're all thick headed idiots who take unwanted animals in for some kind of sick experiment

Good grief.
I werent being personal! lol
I was just wondering, and i know the other sugar glider owners would have been abit more abrupt than me.
I gave you loads of advice, if you dont remember, to your inbox under a month ago.
Just gotta be careful, as theyre apparently quite difficult pets. Although iv had zero issues with mine.
Only really bad thing iv got to say, is you shouldnt of let him out in the hotel room. Should of waited til you got home i know what its like though, i kept opening the carry case on the train to take a peek.

Also, anyone who owns a pet, believes theyre doing the best for it. And believe what theyre doing is the best thing, at the end of the day, if hes happy and healthy. Whose to say whats right and wrong?

My comment/s weren't directed soley at you but the barage of comments that followed aswell, I get a bit sick of people jumping on band wagons around here.

Once a questions been asked, have the good grace to let the OP respond before all leaping to the same conclusion - we're not all total idiots you know

I let him out in my hotel room because I was there for 2 nights before coming back to Kent and there really was no way I was going to sit and watch him struggle round a tiny metal cage for 48 hours.

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't, that's what I love about you guys
