Default livefood delivery queries

recently i have got 2 new lizards and so i am considering getting crickets delivered, as many people do, (normally only needed 1 box a week) however like many people i am out at work 8-6 mon-fri and deliveries only seem to be then, yet many people get cricks delivered and noone has raised this issue so im guessing their is a solution, the only 'courier' depot within a reasoanable distance near us is royal mail and thats a 10 mile round trip and would have to wait til the sat before i could get there to pick up due to opening times.

however i am aware that many people work similar to me, so please can you suggest ways around it..i dont have neighbours i could leave them it, they would freak/work that time too.

i normally just get them from the local pet shop near work

middlesborough is a good hours drive away - i do work in hartlepool but the only time i would get there is rush hour which is a no no, id rather avoid the stress and pay at local pet shop.

i dont think id save much on the cricks to be honest cos a box is £2.30 each in shop but i was just debating the postage issue thne i know if i do need to place an order

Most live food places online have their own delivery service, I know that when I buy from livefoods I can specify that I will be out and want the package left outside the garage.

I'm not sure that it would be cost effctive to order a couple of boxes online but if it saves you the stress then, go for it.

Livefood UK Crickets Locusts Mealworms Reptile supplies mail order is pretty good and always deliver to me on time.

yeh just clear it with them first and dont open it until you get home, I made that mistake, ended up with a verbal warning after a roach crawled across my desk and the guy next to me almost jumped out of the window lol!

If not delivered will go back to your local post office (if the government hasn't closed it yet) usually starts a bit of a discussion but never has caused us a problem.

I'd get a bulk bag if being delivered, they easy enough to keep and definitely cost effective in the current financial climate
