Default My Locust Colony..

im having issues with my locust colony atm.

ive had them for several weeks in this...

and there not breeding at all. As you can see its in an exo terra viv with light which is on 12 hours a day. i feed them once/twice a day on stupid amounts of dandelions.

all they do is eat and poo but dont breed!! Any suggestions?

Have you got anything for them to lay their eggs in?

Seems a daft question: - have you definately got adults?! Have you got males and females? I'm not trying to breed mine, i just buy in bulk. The last time i got some they all looked female to me (by the time they had turned to adults)

Pink ones are generally females - yellow ones are males. Thats probably why they're not breeding!

Also you may want to give them a deeper laying area, i use plastic pint "glasses" and the females tend to lay right at the bottom of these.. may not be relevent, but it works for me.
