Default Diet change

Hi, just a quick question. When an animal changes hands, it is quite usual for them to go off feeding for a while. Besides stress/settling in etc. Is it possible/likely that differences in the way the crix were fed, would affect taste and scent and therefore contribute to loss of appetite?
Cheers
