Brown and black crickets.

Hay all.

Started a small breeding project today, got a small VERY small setup, one of those little 10 quid funairiums from acorn pets, and I'm providing them with food water and some soil.

I noticed that there are mixed species, It's supposed to be only brown, but its clear there are a few black's in there as well. at least from the pictures of black crickets I have seen they look right.

Is it worth me taking them out, leaving only browns, is it possibly they may inter breed and spawn some hybrid ?

Stupid question as well..

I'v not heard my crix making any noise, which is kinda annoying cos its one of the things i loved when i had a reptile years ago..

How do you tell if their silent or not, and like I said I know dumb question, but just asking anyway in case their not making any noise for another reason.

They only make noise when they are adults and have developed wings.
And no, they won't produce hybrids, but it would be a good idea to seperate the species because black crickets are voracious and might predate on the browns.
