Default Earthworms

Ok, so It appears I'm really dumb and can't keep earthworms alive! We got an order from livefoods.co.uk Friday, and they were fine, looked at them tonight and they are dead and smelly. How have I managed to kill them that quickly??

Never having used or fed them to reptiles, BUT having used them for fishing, they die quite quickly in a small container, and they really stink as they break down.

Could you use a faunarium with some soil and / or some damp sphagnum moss?, , you could then give it a mist to keep it moist, but not too wet.

I used to dig loads and kept them in sphagnum and a large tin with airholes for quite a while, well about 2 weeks.

If I remember correctly my mate used dampened shredded newspaper and fed them on some greens, any uneaten beardie greens would probably do them.

Hope this helps.

I keep mine in the fridge in a small tub and never had any problems with them
