Question how many mealie beetles........

are needed to start producing mealies ???
what is needed for them to lay ???
how many can they lay at a time??

Well what I was told Is you just get some mealworms, And leave them, Keep feeding them and they will produce, so im not sure how many beetles you need! Just buy some mealworms and stick them in a Tupperware tub/box!

Apart from that im not sure!

Realistically you could use 1 female and one male lol, i started off with a few beetles and now have loads.
In order to lay they need to get it on... if you mean what substrate they need to lay just use wheat bran or crushed up weetabix
Think they can lay 100 eggs in their lifetime

lol i got bout 4 aliens soo far and there in the cricket tubs.

im gunna increase in size wen the coloney does lol

i only had two adult mealie tubs (the ones they come in when you buy them), and now i'm onto my second wax worm tub housing all the aliens i'm getting!!! there's more every single time i check, which is turning into four times a day!!!

i keep getting loads of these aliens but cause i got atleast 1kg of mealworms there hard to find in all these mealworms lol

Why don`t you just take a couple of handfuls of mealies, seperate them in a crix box or the like, and leave them somewhere warm? Possibly within a week or so, all the mealies will have turned into mealie bugs and you have the basis of your breeding colony!!!
