Its easy to breed crickets, you just need a small spare fish tank or something.. put some adult crickets in there with food for a couple of days with some damp soil for them and they will lay in the soil. Keep it damp and pretty soon you will be crawling with baby crickets!

There is a pretty advanced info sheet here:

I've been breeding crickets for a while now.... actually finding it harder to STOP them breeding than getting them to breed
Best bet is to use 2tanks minimum and better yet 3 tanks.
You need 3 things to get them to breed.... heat....about 85 degrees.....a moist cointainer of soil.... and food/water.
ALSO of course you need to crickets to start with.
I normally buy 1000 blacks and put them along with the egg boxes they came with into a 3 ft tank with a container of moist soil and food.... I also use a 40 watt bulb to heat the tank.
Once the eggs have been laid ( rub the top of the soil and you should see long white/cream coloured pods....these are the eggs) I move the soil container into a second 2 foot tank....again kept to about 85 degrees and the soil moist until the eggs have hatched ( replace the container of soil in the breeding tank so they can keep laying)
After the new soil is packed with eggs move it to the 3rd tank set up just like the second tank. This way I have 3 szes of crickets all ready for the family.
Try not to feed too many of the female adults to the herps as then you lose your egg machines..... adult females are easily recognised be the long 3rd stem protruding from the rear. ALSO make sure you have some adult males to keep them fertile....adult males are the ones that make the noise!
Check out this site for more details: http://www.skylab.org/~chugga/cricket/

Hope this helps guys.
