Well I should've know it'd happen....Just when I said they were doing fine in another thread, this problem started occuring more and more.
My morios, kept in the below container to transform from worm to beetle
Everything was fine until a few weeks ago....then they started 'coming out' like this
I'm presuming that its due to lack of moisture during the alien-beetle phase ??
Reason is, they all have the skin stuck to their legs/head (All the little nooks and crannies) which is why this one is in waxy tub with damp kitchen towel.
However, my first 40 or so came out fine (Apart from 1 case like this) then suddenly my past 3 have all been 'mutants'...surely the bran is pretty much dry to start with ??
I have the odd few go like that, happens to meal worm beatles also. Not sure if it's a problem with moisture as I'd have though I'd have had more problems.
